Quality in Electronic Interactions
The qualities I found with the interactions and conversations through technology would be the ability to work out problems and communicate so much faster then by mail or by traveling to see the person you're speaking with every time you want to talk to them. Although it has upsides to it, it also has downsides, such as, fights and unnecessary drama can occur due to sites like facebook, twitter, and myspace. There is also a lot of predators stalking young teenagers and more porn and violence accessible to young children that shouldn't be exposed to this kind of media.

I agree with the upsides of communication with the new technology you talked about. There is always going to be negatives with everything in technology, but I couldnt see myself without this technology. Everything would take so much longer to do.
ReplyDeleteYou bring up many valid points in your comment. I would just like to say that there are many more up and down sides to technology than what you covered. Technology is both a blessing and a burden at the same time. There are times when I love it, but there also many times that I get frustrated and hate it too. So, really I don't know if it is for the better or worse for us. Since it is so prevalent today though, I can only hope that is for the better.
ReplyDeleteFacebook and other simular sites are the power house of peoples thoughts. These sites alone cause a great deal of unwanted drama. People will observe everything about a person by their facebook page and never speak to them in person.
ReplyDeleteI understand..I didn't get a facebook or myspace until I came to college and I have seen the postings on these sites get ugly which is a shame..and yes sarah it would be better for people to resolve their issues differently.
